Generate

Generate produces lightweight preview JSON and a graph snapshot for the canvas. Clean local parses stay free or cheap; ambiguous prompts that need AI help may cost a small credit to cover model use. Generations live in the reel, not the paid library.

Browse

Reopen any past generation for free. The reel is scratch history — tiny JSON plus thumbnails — so comparing attempts should stay generous while you iterate.

Publish

Publish (planned) spends credits to compute the full deliverable: BOM, map footprint, logistics packaging, best-case totals, and an immutable saved blueprint you can open later. That is the honest credit sink — not every preview render.

Preview vs keeper

Generations are previews. Published blueprints are keepers with full build detail. We charge when you finalize — not when you browse the reel.

Published library cap

Product direction: a free saved/published library around 10 blueprints, then delete old ones or upgrade for more slots. Enforcement may still reflect the legacy per-project saved-version limits until Publish ships.

Plus later

FactoryForge Plus is planned for monthly credit refill, more saved slots, and private blueprints. Plus subscription checkout is not live today — packs are.
